Role Overview

As our Founding Duty Drawback Technical Staff, you’ll play a key role in defining what the next generation of duty drawback services looks like. You’ll manage key accounts using our best-in-class software. As the go-to expert for all things duty drawback, you’ll champion our clients—ensuring we minimize their effort while maximizing every possible dollar in refunds.

You’ll also work closely with our product and engineering teams, bringing valuable frontline insights that help shape and improve Pax AI’s next-gen drawback platform. As an industry thought leader, you’ll contribute ideas and best practices that move the field forward—helping both Pax and the broader trade community stay ahead of the curve.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize duty drawback claims for key accounts – oversee the entire process from documentation to refund, ensuring maximum recovery for clients.
• Lead client engagements and ensure claim accuracy and compliance – serve as the primary point of contact for clients, provide expert guidance, and guarantee every claim meets regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to innovate and evolve Pax AI’s next-generation duty drawback software – contribute user feedback, ideas for new features, and help test enhancements.
• Contribute thought leadership to push the frontier of duty drawback solutions – develop best practices, share insights (e.g. via blog posts or webinars), and represent Pax AI in the duty drawback community.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in duty drawback claims and account management, with a proven track record of handling refund processes for multiple clients.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations and duty drawback processes, with a keen eye for compliance and detail throughout the claim lifecycle.
• Strong communication and organizational skills – able to explain complex customs concepts in simple terms, build trusting client relationships, and juggle multiple projects with efficiency.
• Ability to thrive in a remote, fast-paced startup environment – self-motivated, proactive, adaptable, and excited to work independently as well as with a diverse, distributed team.
