Applied Intuition, Inc. invites a Founding Developer Tooling Engineer to join our Middle East team. This role focuses on building developer tooling and deployment automation to accelerate automotive software development and deployment.

As an in-office company, you will collaborate across engineering to reduce friction, optimize builds, and expand tooling for cloud and on-premises environments. A strong Python background and experience with CI/CD and Bazel are essential.

Qualifications

About the role: We are looking for a software engineer with a passion for improving developer experience and deployment processes. In this role, you will work across engineering teams to identify key sources of friction, improve workflows, develop new tools, and generally uplevel the velocity and reliability of the entire software, and automotive development and deployment lifecycle.

At Applied Intuition, you will:

• Design, build, and improve the tools, libraries, and frameworks for our engineering team
• Build and test scalable tools for deploying to various automotive and cloud platforms
• Optimize our compile/build times using tools like Bazel, CMake, Docker
• Improve software deployment and data collection frameworks
• Identify and solve bottlenecks within our software stack

We're looking for someone who has:

• 2+ years of relevant experience
• Experience designing, provisioning, and maintaining public cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Self-starter with a 'can-do' attitude, high energy, and the independence to drive projects forward
• Strong expertise in Python
• Experience with CI, build, and deployment technologies like Bazel, Buildkite, Docker, Kubernetes, and comfortability with scripting for automation
• Experience with Linux

Nice to have:

• Experience using Go, C and C++
• Experience working with autonomous systems, especially for trucking use cases
• Experience working in automotive or related industries
• Experience with deploying software on either public clouds (e.g., AWS) or on-premise clusters

Compensation at Applied Intuition for eligible roles includes base salary, equity, and benefits. Base salary is a single component of the total compensation package, which may also include equity in the form of options and/or restricted stock units, comprehensive health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance coverage, 401k retirement benefits with employer match, learning and wellness stipends, and paid time off. Note that benefits are subject to change and may vary based on jurisdiction of employment.

Applied Intuition pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum intended target base salary for new hire salaries for the position. The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, interview performance, and the level and scope of the position.
