Job summary

Subquadratic seeks a Founding Developer Advocate to launch and grow our developer ecosystem around a next‑gen LLM platform. You’ll bridge product and community, crafting technical content, demos, and tutorials that engineers actually use.

As the first person in this role, you’ll define developer advocacy from day one, own video production, meetups, and partnerships, and help SubQ land at industry events in the Bay Area and beyond.

Qualifications

• Experience in Developer Advocacy or a similar technical community-facing role.
• Strong on-camera presence with a track record of producing polished technical video content—launch demos, product walkthroughs, or developer-focused series.
• End-to-end video production capability: scripting, on-camera delivery, and editing; able to ship high-quality video independently.
• Strong technical background with hands-on application and/or AI app development experience and ability to communicate complex ideas clearly through demos, talks, and written content.
• Ability to create technical content engineers actually share: reference implementations, architectural walkthroughs, benchmark deep-dives.
• Comfort presenting at meetups, conferences, and in technical communities.
• Based in or willing to relocate to the SF Bay Area; travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Produce launch videos, capability demos, and technical walkthroughs from scripting to final edit.
• Build a library of high-production-value content for SubQ across developer communities.
• Collaborate with external production partners while maintaining ability to ship polished content independently.
• Build reference apps, demos, and GitHub starter repos to show developers how to build real-world apps on SubQ.
• Create technical tutorials, walkthroughs, and example projects demonstrating long-context capabilities.
• Develop quickstarts, guides, and developer resources to reduce time-to-first-value for new users.
• Surface developer feedback to product and engineering; partner with marketing on developer-focused go-to-market initiatives.
