Job summary

Circleback is hiring a design engineer in San Francisco to own the product surface end-to-end—from concept to production code. You will ship features across web (React, Next.js), desktop (Electron, Swift), and mobile (React Native), while shaping Circleback's design system.

You will craft interactions, animations, and transitions that make the product feel fast and alive, and you will collaborate with engineers and the founding team to steer product direction with a strong emphasis on craft and

Qualifications

• Portfolio or shipped work demonstrating design and coding ability.
• Ability to take an idea from sketch to shipped product without waiting for others.
• Strong opinions on typography, color, and spacing and how to articulate design rationale.

Responsibilities

• Own the design and frontend implementation of features across web, desktop, and mobile.
• Build and evolve the design system with components, tokens, and patterns.
• Craft interactions, animations, and transitions to feel fast and alive.
• Prototype new ideas quickly in code to evaluate interactions.
