Job summary

Circleback is seeking a design engineer who obsesses over how software looks and feels. You’ll own the product surface end-to-end—from concept to pixel-perfect production code—and push Circleback’s design from good to elite.

You’ll build and codify Circleback’s design system, work across web, desktop, and mobile, and collaborate closely with a small engineering team and founders to shape the product direction and user experience.

Qualifications

• You’re a designer who codes or an engineer with exceptional taste—able to take an idea from sketch to shipped product.
• You care about craft at a level that shows in typography, color, spacing, and interactions.
• You’ll ship practical design and code without unnecessary dependencies and keep multiple customer perspectives in mind.

Responsibilities

• Own design and frontend implementation of features across web, desktop, and mobile.
• Build and evolve the design system—components, patterns, tokens—for faster shipping.
• Craft interactions, animations, and transitions that feel fast and alive.
• Prototype new ideas directly in code to validate interactions quickly.
• Collaborate with engineers and founders on product direction.
