Ternion Security in the Greater Seattle area is seeking a Founding Design Engineer (AI‑Native) to own the design language and grow a versioned design system for a stealth-stage platform used in critical infrastructure. This in‑person, founding team role blends design and front‑end engineering, with a focus on calm, fast interfaces under high pressure.

You’ll ship production React and TypeScript, show exceptional taste with a shipped portfolio, and work closely with the founding engineers.

Qualifications

• You ship what you design with production React and TypeScript.
• Portfolio of shipped interfaces we can review together.
• You’ve built interfaces for non-technical users.
• You balance design and engineering; you own the design system end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Define the design language from zero and grow it into a versioned design system the whole team builds against.
• Design and build the product’s core interfaces across web and mobile.
• Make complex operational work feel simple so first-time users succeed unassisted.
• Set the bar for craft—interaction, motion, accessibility, and performance.
• Work AI-native: agents write code and your review makes the final call.
