REACH INDUSTRIES is seeking a Founding Data Infrastructure Engineer in San Francisco. You will build the backend for data collection efforts, designing scalable architectures for multimodal data. Ideal candidates have a strong background in Python, Rust, or Go, and experience with cloud infrastructure.

This role includes a salary range of $160,000 – $230,000 and excellent benefits, including fully covered health insurance, relocation assistance, and generous paid parental leave.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience shipping production-grade backend systems.
• Expert-level proficiency in Python, Rust, C++ or Go.
• Strong experience architecting and managing infrastructure on major cloud providers.

Responsibilities

• Architect a fault-tolerant data ingestion engine capable of handling intermittent sensor connectivity.
• Write robust multi-process applications to handle concurrent data streams.
• Design database schemas optimized for rapid indexing and retrieval.
