Clera is seeking a founding machine learning engineer to guide computer vision for a resale marketplace. You will build and productionize image-based item identification models with calibrated confidence for trustworthy pricing decisions.

You will own the research-to-production path, optimize latency and cost, and communicate model capabilities to both technical and non-technical teams. Fully remote within North America, with a competitive salary range.

Formación

• Applied computer vision experience with production systems.
• Experience with fine-grained or instance-level classification.
• Production experience fine-tuning and deploying vision models (ViT/CNNs).
• Experience building evaluation frameworks for real-world performance.
• Ability to communicate tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with active learning or human-in-the-loop labeling.

Responsabilidades

• Design computer vision architecture for item identification and adaptation to catalog.
• Define accuracy standards and calibrated confidence scores.
• Build feedback loops using model errors for labeling and improvement.
• Set priorities between expanding category coverage and improving accuracy.
• Own research-to-production pipeline including latency, cost, and reliability.
• Communicate model capabilities and limitations to stakeholders.
