Job summary

ADVATIX - Advanced Supply Chain and Logistics in New York, NY is seeking a Founding Security Engineer to own security across internal systems and customer environments. This is a software‑first role focused on building secure cloud infrastructure and production Go code.

You will protect production environments on AWS, GCP, and Azure, secure Kubernetes clusters, and partner with engineering and customer security teams to define the roadmap from the ground up.

Qualifications

• 4+ years building or engineering core infrastructure and security
• Current software engineer writing production code, not purely DevOps/SRE
• Experience in high‑bar engineering environments (PaaS/IaaS) or similar
• Ability to work across multiple cloud platforms with strong security focus

Responsibilities

• Found and lead the secure engineering function and set internal security roadmap
• Build and ship customer‑facing security products to improve security posture
• Write production Go code to harden multi‑cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure)
• Secure Kubernetes clusters across hundreds of customer accounts
• Own cloud security end‑to‑end: IAM, network security, secret management
• Design security systems to protect production infrastructure across clouds
• Partner with customers' security teams to align requirements and trust
• Embed secure development practices across the SDLC
• Identify vulnerabilities and practical security improvements
• Establish security standards and engineering practices as first security hire
