Job summary

Advatix is seeking a Founding Security Engineer to own internal and customer-facing security for a cloud infrastructure platform. You will be the first dedicated security hire, building security capabilities across AWS, GCP, and Azure and partnering with customers to define secure practices.

The role emphasizes writing production Go code, securing Kubernetes, and shaping the security roadmap from the ground up while operating within a fast-moving engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to write production-grade software with security in mind.
• Experience building core infrastructure at an infra-focused or high-engineering-bar company.
• Strong background in cloud and container security across multi-cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Experience as a founding security engineer or security-focused engineer is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related technical field.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Secure Engineering function and define the internal security roadmap.
• Build customer-facing security products to improve security posture on the platform.
• Write production Go code to harden multi-cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Secure Kubernetes clusters and IAM, network, and secret management across environments.
• Design security systems for customer production infrastructure across clouds.
• Collaborate with customers and engineering teams to embed secure SDLC practices.
