Job summary

Aftermath seeks a Founding Clinical Director to lead the launch of a new substance use disorder program in Schaumburg, Illinois. This senior clinical role will shape culture, assemble the team, set expectations, and guide readiness to active service delivery.

The leader will oversee treatment quality, supervision, staff development, documentation, and program integrity across clinical, medical, utilization review, compliance, and operations.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a behavioral health field required or equivalent.
• Active Illinois LCSW or LCPC license in good standing required.
• Minimum five years of behavioral health clinical experience.
• Minimum three years in supervision, program management, or leadership roles.
• Direct experience with SUD and co-occurring mental health treatment.
• Familiarity with ASAM Criteria and levels of care.
• Strong clinical documentation, treatment planning, and quality assurance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day delivery of clinical services for outpatient, IOP, and PHP.
• Maintain clinical integrity across programming and ensure appropriate placement decisions.
• Lead and supervise clinical staff, with established supervision practices and documentation.
• Monitor and improve clinical outcomes, quality, and compliance with licensing and payer requirements.
• Prepare the clinical department for licensing, accreditation, and quality reviews.
• Collaborate with leadership to open and scale the program in Schaumburg, IL.
