Job summary

MYDENTALWIG is seeking a Biomedical Engineer to lead the sensing hardware development powering our Dental Computing Interface. You will design, prototype, test, and refine ingestion-detection sensing tech for a real-time platform.

This foundational role influences architecture, IP development, and the future of the platform, working across AI, software, and mechanical teams in a fast-paced startup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in biomedical devices or related sensing tech.
• Experience with prototype development and product engineering.
• Strong sensor, embedded hardware, and biomedical instrumentation knowledge.
• Startup-fast-paced environment experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of biomedical sensing hardware for intraoral applications.
• Evaluate sensing technologies for ingestion detection.
• Develop proofs-of-concept and functional models.
• Collaborate with AI, software, and mechanical engineering teams to integrate hardware.
• Define performance specs and testing protocols.
• Conduct lab testing and validation.
• Support prototype fabrication toward manufacturability.
• Work with suppliers and engineering partners.
• Contribute to invention disclosures and patent development.
• Support regulatory submissions with documentation.
