Job summary

Haven, located in Blowing Rock, NC, is assembling its founding front-of-house team to open a chef-driven restaurant backed by Chetola Resort. As a bartender, you will shape the beverage program, bar standards, and guest experience from day one, contributing to an exceptional hospitality culture and career growth.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience in a full-service restaurant, craft cocktail bar, hotel, or hospitality environment.
• Genuine warmth and a natural desire to take care of people.
• Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine.
• Ability to read guests and adapt service style to preferences and occasions.
• Curiosity about food, beverage, ingredients, seasonality, and culinary technique.
• Willingness to learn and communicate detailed menu and beverage knowledge.
• Collaborative mindset and respect for front- and back-of-house teammates.

Responsibilities

• Create warm, genuine, and memorable guest experiences at the bar and restaurant.
• Prepare and serve cocktails with consistency, balance, and care.
• Guide guests through cocktails, wine, beer, spirits, and non-alcoholic options.
• Develop knowledge of the food menu and its pairing with beverages.
• Maintain a clean, organized bar and assist with mise en place.
• Participate in pre-opening training and ongoing beverage education.
