Job summary

Wwshemi is seeking a software engineer to build an AI-powered recruiting marketplace's intelligence layer in San Francisco, CA. You will own end-to-end candidate-role matching, ranking, and retrieval systems, from design through production.

You'll ship ML-powered features, work with PyTorch/TF, and design scalable data pipelines. This on-site role requires strong CS fundamentals and hands-on production experience.

Qualifications

• Two to five years of experience building and shipping end-to-end software features in production.
• Production experience with recommendation systems, ranking algorithms, or ML-powered matching.
• Experience shipping ML models or ML-powered products to users, with hands-on work in PyTorch, TensorFlow, or equivalent frameworks.
• Proficiency in TypeScript or Python and experience building production features with LLM APIs.
• Experience maintaining production data pipelines and services, ideally in a fast-moving startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and build recommendation, ranking, and retrieval systems for candidate-role matching.
• Develop LLM-powered features and improve matching quality using measurable outcomes.
• Take product features from problem definition to production, shipping at a rapid cadence.
• Build and maintain the data pipelines and backend services that support production models.
• Work with company leadership to translate product goals into working systems.
