Job summary

Socket.dev, based in New York, is hiring a Founding Engineer to build and deploy our core AI-powered sales platform for home service technicians. You will implement customer feedback, ship new features, and guide product direction as we scale with the CTO.

You will work closely with the founding team to shape the company’s technical roadmap. Ideal candidates have 3+ years of full-stack experience, strong AI fluency, and a founder mindset.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of full-stack software engineering experience, ideally at early-stage startups or with shipping real products.
• High fluency with AI tools and approaches.
• Strong communication skills, especially with non-technical stakeholders.
• High agency and urgency to tackle highest-priority problems.
• Growth mindset and comfort with ambiguity in early-stage environments.
• Experience as a founder or aspiring founder is a plus.
• Ability to take ownership and drive initiatives without being told what to do.

Responsibilities
