Job summary

Rilla is building the systems to auto-manage compliance and IT for a fast-growing NYC team. This founding role owns SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR, and ISO 27001 from the ground up, turning audits into an AI-native, self-running process.

You’ll design IT foundations, device management, and office support, collaborating across engineering, HR, legal, and leadership to move fast without breaking things. A strong technical background and AI tooling fluency are required.

Qualifications

• A strong technical foundation in computer science or equivalent hands-on ability.
• Genuine fluency with AI tools and a track record of using them to automate real work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Comfort shipping in ambiguity with clarity and blockers removal.
• Judgment to operate in regulated systems where details matter.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain SOC 2, and drive HIPAA, GDPR, and ISO 27001 to completion.
• Automate compliance workflows with AI so audit readiness is continuous.
• Build the systems, evidence pipelines, and processes for operations in regulated environments at speed.
• Translate between engineering, HR, legal, and leadership to deliver clear, tracked work.
• Stand up IT foundation from scratch and select the tooling to scale.
• Create visibility into compliance and IT status for leadership.
• Provide local IT support for office employees including in-person troubleshooting and hardware support.
