Job summary

Joseph A. Schudt & Associates is seeking a skilled Civil CAD Designer to create detailed civil engineering drawings and models to support infrastructure projects.

The role emphasizes collaboration with engineers to prepare construction documents for foundations, steel platforms, and pipe supports using AutoCAD Plant 3D or CADWorx. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience and proficiency in 3D modeling, with a strong eye for accuracy and adherence to project standards.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent practical training in Drafting, Civil Design, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in Civil CAD design or similar roles.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling of concrete and steel components in AutoCAD Plant 3D or CADWorx.
• Experience developing drawings for foundations, structural platforms, pipe supports, and pipe racks.

Responsibilities

• Design and coordinate foundation and platform systems using 3D models.
• Produce foundation plans, reinforcement detailing, anchor bolt layouts, and details.
• Develop steel framing plans, connection details, sections, and fabrication drawings.
• Prepare drawings for pipe support structures, including layouts and connections.
• Maintain drawing databases, templates, styles, and drafting standards.
• Perform quality control reviews for drawing accuracy and standards compliance.
• Utilize Bluebeam Revu for markup, review, and collaboration.
• Build strong working relationships with engineers, clients, vendors, and field teams.
• Participate in meetings to support coordination across disciplines.
