Job summary

iVision Consulting seeks a Foundational IT SME to provide targeted technical expertise on demand across endpoint, network, and cybersecurity domains. The role requires onsite presence 2-3 days per week in Bethesda, Maryland, and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

You will guide IAM/Zero Trust initiatives, review Cisco and endpoint architectures, and mentor delivery analysts while drafting governance-ready technical documents.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related discipline.
• 10+ years of subject matter expertise in enterprise network architecture, endpoint systems engineering, or federal cybersecurity.
• Deep technical knowledge of macOS/Linux platform administration, enterprise mobility (Intune/JAMF), Cisco CXEA, and Entra ID unified identity.
• Recognized expertise navigating complex federal research, academic, or scientific computing environments.
• Excellent communication skills with track record of authoring authoritative technical white papers.

Responsibilities

• Provide deep technical expertise for macOS/Linux endpoint management gap closing, including JAMF tenant architecture and Apple Business Manager setup.
• Conduct technical reviews of Cisco network licensing, hardware lifecycle management, and circuit consolidation across facilities.
• Perform specialized risk and vulnerability analyses for IAM and Zero Trust architecture integration.
• Evaluate specialized scientific software optimization candidates for centralized licensing.
• Draft technical solution papers, architectural exception reviews, and decision packages for executive governance.
• Transfer technical knowledge to core delivery analysts to sustain ongoing operational baselines.

We are hiring a Foundational IT SME to support our client's project. This position delivers targeted technical expertise on demand as complex technical challenges emerge. This role provides focused technical judgment on priority domains: Endpoint Services (macOS, Linux, mobile), Network Services (Cisco CXEA, network topology, building consolidation), and Cybersecurity (IAM, Zero Trust, Entra ID).

This position is hybrid and is required to be onsite 2-3 days per week in Bethesda, Maryland.

This position requires the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

What You Will Do

• Provide deep technical expertise for macOS/Linux endpoint management gap closing, including JAMF tenant architecture and Apple Business Manager (ABM) setup.
• Conduct technical reviews of Cisco network licensing, hardware lifecycle management, and circuit consolidation across facilities.
• Perform specialized risk and vulnerability analyses for Identity, Credential, and Access Management (IAM) and Zero Trust architecture integration.
• Evaluate specialized scientific software optimization candidates (GraphPad Prism, BioRender, MATLAB, SnapGene, FlowJo) for centralized licensing.
• Draft technical solution papers, architectural exception reviews, and decision packages for escalation to executive governance bodies.
• Transfer technical knowledge to core delivery analysts to sustain ongoing operational baselines.

What You Need

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related discipline.
• 10+ years of subject matter expertise in enterprise network architecture, endpoint systems engineering, or federal cybersecurity.
• Deep technical knowledge of macOS/Linux platform administration, enterprise mobility (Intune/JAMF), Cisco CXEA, and Entra ID unified identity.
• Recognized expertise navigating complex federal research, academic, or scientific computing environments.
• Excellent communication skills with track record of authoring authoritative technical white papers.
• Active PIV Card / Badge or immediate Public Trust eligibility.

Preferred Qualifications & Certifications

• CISSP, CCIE, JAMF Certified Expert, or Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert.
