Job summary

Tabs, a leading AI-native revenue platform, seeks a Data Engineer in New York to design our foundational data platform and scalable data warehouse. You will own the data stack, from ingestion to analytics, enabling BI and AI systems with reliable pipelines and well-documented data contracts.

You’ll work in a fast-growing startup, shaping metrics, data models, and governance in a greenfield environment with ownership and impact.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer in a startup environment.
Solid programming skills in Python and strong SQL for analytics.

Responsibilities

Design and implement our first scalable data warehouse/lakehouse to support KPIs.
Build and maintain reliable data pipelines from application databases and third-party tools.
Translate business metrics into concrete data models and schemas.
Define and own data modeling standards and best practices.
Implement monitoring, data quality checks, and observability around pipelines.
Enable BI and data analysts through well structured models and self-serve datasets.
Document the data platform and help establish a shared source of truth for metrics.
