Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking a mission-driven Developer Relations Manager focused on Foundational AI Research to engage leading academic labs advancing the next generation of AI models, systems, and methods.

You will work with top researchers building frontier AI systems, including large language models, multimodal models, and scalable AI infrastructure, helping researchers adopt NVIDIA platforms to push model performance and efficiency.

Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science, AI, ML, Applied Math, EE, or equivalent research experience.
• 5+ years in tech across software eng, developer relations, partnerships, solutions architecture, or PM, incl. 3+ years in AI.
• Deep expertise in foundational AI including LLMs, multimodal models, or AI systems research.
• Strong understanding of AI model lifecycle: pretraining to deployment and evaluation.
• Hands-on with AI stacks: PyTorch, JAX, distributed training, inference, and serving.
• Fluency in scalable AI systems: distributed training, memory optimization, latency, throughput, costs.
• Familiarity with methods to improve model efficiency: quantization, distillation, sparsity, RLHF/RLAIF.
• Ability to engage top academic labs on frontier research challenges.
• Demonstrated credibility via publications, open-source, or collaborations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to leading academic AI labs on foundation models and AI systems.
• Identify high-impact research workloads where NVIDIA platforms improve performance and efficiency.
• Engage researchers to understand goals, blockers, infrastructure needs, and collaboration opportunities.
• Track frontier AI research across papers and open-source projects to identify trends.
• Partner with internal teams to support researcher adoption and long-term engagement.
• Translate academic feedback into actionable insights for roadmaps and platform strategy.
• Support NVIDIA participation in AI venues through technical content and university engagements.
