Job summary

Live Nation Entertainment, including House of Blues venues, seeks team members to maintain cleanliness and deliver excellent guest experiences in a fast-paced setting. You will perform opening/closing duties, respond to guest inquiries, and uphold safety, sanitation, and service standards across shifts.

Ideal candidates have CA Food Handlers Card, experience in high-volume food service, strong communication, and a sense of urgency. Some roles may require bilingual abilities and POS experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-volume kitchen/service environments.
• Strong communication and sense of urgency required.
• Must be able to stand long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain restaurant cleanliness and guest experience.
• Perform opening/closing duties per service standards.

• Move bus tubs up to 40 lbs and keep ice bins full.
• Keep floors clean and hazards controlled.
• Follow all housekeeping, safety and sanitation SOPs.
• Assist other team members as needed.

The Role

Maintain restaurant cleanliness in an efficient, professional manner and contribute to an excellent guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform table maintenance duties according HOB service standards
• Perform Opening/Running/Closing duties according to HOB Service Standards
• Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a courteous and polite manner
• Maintain line of sight/atmosphere control by circulating through work area throughout shift
• Safely transport bus tubs weighing up to 40 lbs from table areas to dish room
• Keep all ice bins parred to fullest levels at all times
• Keep floor neat, clean and free of food, trash and other obstacles throughout shift
• Clean all spills immediately, use floor signs to caution guests and staff
• Put all trash and recyclable products in proper receptacles
• Clean and stock line to par throughout shift
• Follow housekeeping standards per policy
• Operate trash compactor per procedures policy
• Ensure that trash cans/slim jims are clean, free of odor and lined
• Keep all dust pans clean and free of stuck on debris/odor
• Separate glass, cardboard and plastics per local codes
• Pre-roll and store table paper, per venue specifications
• Keep current on all standard operating procedures
• Stay informed of current menu items and descriptions
• Follow private party service guidelines to ensure event success
• Turn all lost and found items in to MOD
• Attend pre-shift meeting conducted by MOD prior to start of each shift
• Assist Other Employees as Needed
• Maintain House of Blues safety and sanitation standards

Qualifications

Required:

• CA Food Handlers Card
• High volume kitchen operations
• Food Service as either an Expeditor or Server in a high volume environment
• Exceptional communication skills
• Sense of Urgency
• Time Management
• Kitchen sanitation standards
• Critical thinking and decision making
• High School diploma
• Tolerance of all cultures, music and art forms

Preferred:

• Ability to communicate in Spanish
• Point of Sales experience

Physical Demands/Working Environment

Work environment is fast-paced Position requires extended periods of prolonged standing and working on your feet Must be able to lift or move up to 25 lbs using proper lifting techniques

Compensation

The expected compensation for this position is: $16.90 USD Hourly ** Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
