About the Job:
The role involves applying and removing casts, splints, and braces. Patient education includes injury care, use of crutches and other medical equipment, and maintaining equipment used for broken bones and traction.
What You’ll Do:
Work directly with orthopedic doctors, surgeons, or Sports Medicine doctors in treating bone and joint diseases or injuries.
Apply and remove casts, splints, and braces; instruct patients on proper injury care.
Adjust traction equipment, crutches, walkers, and other aids properly, and provide patient instructions.
Assist with patient intake and discharge in the office setting under provider supervision.
Who You Are:
Completed a 2-year training program at a college or technical school.
Certification required or eligible for certification testing.
Experience with Epic or EMR systems is a plus.
