Job summary

The Catholic Foundation of Arlington seeks a dedicated Manager to oversee foundation operations, grants and endowment distributions, donor relations, and board support. You will administer grants management, process gifts, and produce reports for leadership and audits.

The role requires experience with nonprofit foundations, strong financial acumen, and proficiency in foundation software. Travel throughout the Diocese is possible, with a hybrid work environment encouraged.

Qualifications

• Requires at least 5–8 years of experience in a nonprofit, corporate, or Catholic institutional setting with project management, fundraising, or community engagement.
• Proficiency in reading fund statements, tracking grant activity, and supporting reconciliation and audit preparation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with high discretion for confidential information.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities under deadline.
• Knowledge of donor-advised funds, endowments, and IRS rules is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary administrator of grants management and fund administration system (Foundant), maintaining donor, fund, grant, and advisor records.
• Process gifts and coordinate with Finance to ensure timely recording and reconciliation of contributions and distributions.
• Generate reports for Foundation leadership, Board, and audit preparation; maintain supporting documentation for transactions.
• Manage donor-advised fund grant recommendations from submission through disbursement, ensuring policy compliance.
• Administer annual endowment and scholarship distributions per Board-approved policies and donor intent.
• Coordinate distribution processing with diocesan Finance and Accounting and communicate with applicants, grantees, and fund holders.
