Job summary

Siemens Healthineers is seeking a Foundation AI Research Scientist to advance multimodal foundation models for healthcare, including medical imaging, clinical text, and EHRs. You will research, design, and develop large-scale models, explore distillation and few-/zero-shot learning, and collaborate with clinicians and engineers to translate research into scalable clinical AI capabilities.

Qualifications

• PhD in a related technical field with ML/AI focus.
• Strong track record in deep learning research.
• Experience with modern DL architectures and training methods.
• Exposure to foundation models and multimodal learning.
• Interest in medical imaging AI and healthcare data.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop large-scale multimodal foundation models for healthcare.
• Research next-generation architectures and learning strategies for clinical performance.
• Develop distillation and few-/zero-shot learning approaches for broad clinical use cases.
• Collaborate with AI researchers, clinicians and engineers to translate research into scalable solutions.
• Advance safety, robustness, interpretability, and deployment readiness in clinical environments.
