Job summary

Deutsche Post DHL Express is seeking a Found Shipment Center Associate at the CVG HUB in Erlanger, Kentucky. You will support daily shipment processing, sort and research shipments, inspect packages, and enter data in tracking systems.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma or equivalent and 1–2 years of relevant experience; must be able to lift heavy packages and operate office equipment. This on-site role requires physical stamina and accuracy in documentation.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Must be capable of extensive physical movement and lifting.

Responsibilities

• Sort and research shipments on a daily basis for the Found Shipment Database.
• Open and inspect packages for shipment information.
• Receive and inspect packages/freight and log tests for piece count, weight, and condition.
• Enter package details into the tracking system after check-in.
• Load and unload trucks, trailers, and airline pallets.
• Identify and segregate non-conforming and dangerous goods cargo.

• DHL Express currently has an opening for a Found Shipment Center Associate at our CVG HUB located in Erlanger, Kentucky.
• Sort and research shipments on a daily basis to be listed in Found Shipment Database
• May open and inspect packages for shipment information
• Receives and inspects packages/freight and submits them to test inspections for piece count, weight, dimensions, and physical condition
• Issues documents verifying test inspection to applicable department(s)
• Once package/freight is checked into the hub, gateway or terminal warehouse, enters its location into computerized tracking system
• Loads and unloads trucks, trailers, and airline pallets
• Identifies and segregates non-conforming and dangerous goods cargo
• High School Diploma or equivalent, and 1-2 years of relevant experience
• Ability to operate various pieces of office equipment including, but not limited to ten-key calculator, desktop and laptop computer, keyboard, printer, mouse, copier and phones, as required by position
• Ability to respond to requests for information in a clear and understandable manner, via telephone and in writing
• Must be capable of extensive physical movement all day; may repeatedly stoop, bend, and/or reach to lift packages weighing up to seventy pounds, maneuver any single package weighing up to one-hundred twenty-five pounds with appropriate equipment or assistance from another person, load or unload from a van, and carry between van and location, or load onto or remove from sort location (quantity and weights depend on shipments/deliveries for the days)
