Job summary

Arizona's Children Association is seeking a Fostercare and Kinship Specialist (Yavapai) to conduct home studies, provide courtesy supervision, and license families in and around Yavapai County. The role supports children and families served by the Department of Child Safety and requires travel with mileage reimbursement.

The position offers hourly pay between $19.00 and $23.25, eligibility for benefits, and opportunities to train and collaborate with kinship and foster care teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2 years of related experience.
• Experience in Social Work, Psychology or Human Service field working with children, families, and/or adults.

Responsibilities

• Assists families with completing paperwork for home study processes.
• Writes comprehensive studies evaluating skills and appropriateness for kinship placement, foster care licensure, adoption and guardianship.
• Monitors homes ensuring licensing standards, state laws and regulatory requirements.
• Maintains timely and accurate client records in compliance with AzCA and governmental requirements.
• May assist or be responsible for training for adoptive, foster care or kinship families.
• Assesses strengths and needs of kinship families, develops goals and supports in connection to needed resources.
• May assist with coordinating recruitment activities and recruitment plans.
• May assist with information sharing for adoption matching procedures for children and families.
• Conducts home visits and in-home courtesy supervision as needed.
• Prepares summaries for reporting requirements.
