Job summary

Catholic Charities West Michigan in Grand Rapids, MI, seeks a Team Leader Foster Care Specialist to mentor and train new staff, manage a seven-case caseload, and accompany staff to court and meetings as needed.

The role provides consultation when supervisors are unavailable, participates in peer supervision, and serves as Educational Point of Contact for staff meetings to strengthen program delivery and accountability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services required.
• Minimum two years of experience in a child placing agency as a foster care case worker.
• CWTI foster care and MI-Team Training required.

Position Summary

This position is responsible to provide mentoring and training new staff. The position also provides support and consultation to other Foster Care Specialists in the Grand Rapids site, including attending court, Family Team Meetings, case conferences, educational meetings, and other meetings as deemed appropriate. The Team Leader will carry a caseload of seven cases.

Annual Salary Range: $49,000.00 - $56,359.13

Recommended Employment Qualifications

Education:

A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in the Human Services field is required.

Experience:

A minimum of two-years experience working in a child placing agency as a foster care case worker is required.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

This position requires CWTI foster care, and MI-Team Training.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not have management or supervisory responsibilities of direct reports, however they willprovide Peer supervision/training/consultation when supervisor is unavailable.
