Methodist Home for Children is seeking a Foster Care Supervisor to lead a team of specialists and support foster families in ensuring high‑quality care.

The role covers Central and Eastern NC with a remote arrangement, requiring occasional on‑call rotation. Starting salary is $55,000+ based on experience and education, with benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in child welfare, foster care, or mental health.
• Prior supervisory experience required.
• Strong organizational, communication, and clinical skills.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to manage occasional high‑stress situations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Foster Care Specialists working with children and families in Wake and surrounding counties.
• Oversee daily operations of Foster Care and Therapeutic Foster Care programs.
• Ensure compliance with NC foster care licensing laws and agency policies.
• Provide clinical consultation and ensure quality of treatment planning.
• Serve as point of contact for DSS and other partner agencies.
• Be available for 24/7 on‑call support on a rotating basis.
• Monitor program budgets and contribute to strategic planning.
• Conduct initial and ongoing assessments for children entering care.
