Job summary

Catholic Charities is seeking a dedicated professional in Mississippi to support foster care placements and family services. You will review client bio-data, coordinate referrals, and provide counseling to children and caregivers where applicable.

This role involves transport responsibilities, community outreach, and collaboration with families and agencies to ensure safe, suitable foster placements and effective program delivery.

Responsibilities

• Reviews bio-data on clients referred to determine suitable placements.
• Makes referrals to other community/agency resources as necessary.
• Provides counseling to children and parents/caregivers where applicable.
• Provides client transportation.
• May recruit, inspect, and grant licensure to residences used as foster homes and train foster parents.
• Supervises and supports services to clients.
• Makes presentations to the community and participates in awareness programs.
• Answers telephone requests and first contact with clients.
• Assists staff with placement issues.
• Performs related duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Reviews bio-data on clients referred by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishop to determine suitable placements

3. Makes referral to other community/agency resources for clients as necessary.

4. Provides counseling to children and parents/caregivers where applicable.

5. Provides client transportation.

6. May recruit, inspect, and grant licensure to potential residences to be used as foster homes, performs group training of foster parents.

7. May supervise, monitor, and provide support of services to clients.

8. Makes presentations to the community and participates in community awareness programs.

9. Answers telephone requests and initial personal contact with clients.

10. Assists other office personnel where applicable with placement issues.

11. Performs related or similar duties as required or assigned.
