Licensing Coordinator (Foster Care)

Pay: $43,000-55,000 commensurate with degree level, licensure, and experience.

Licensing Coordinators with the National Youth Advocate Program are responsible for maintaining annual re-certifications, retaining quality foster homes, and ensuring licensed homes meet community and organizational needs. Under the supervision of the Licensing Supervisor, you will work closely with foster parents and community partners, providing advocacy and support to help youth live safely and successfully in the community.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies for licensed foster homes.
  • Support potential foster parents in understanding youth needs, mentoring, and reunification goals.
  • Work with current, former, and prospective foster parents to retain families.
  • Conduct face-to-face meetings with foster families to maintain licensure.
  • Assist foster parents in overcoming licensing barriers.
  • Complete home studies and submit for approval.
  • Maintain foster home records.
  • Provide ongoing training and support to foster homes.
  • Complete annual evaluations and recertifications.
  • Prepare adoption finalization paperwork.
  • Travel daily to provide community-based services in compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related Human Services field.
  • Active professional licensure; LSW preferred.
  • At least 1 year of direct service experience with youth and families.
  • Assessor certifications preferred; willingness to obtain.
  • Flexible and non-traditional working hours.
  • Strong time management and relationship skills.
  • Computer and technology proficiency.
  • Willingness to accept additional duties as assigned.
Driving and Vehicle Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Reliable personal transportation
  • Good driving record
  • Minimum auto insurance coverage of $100,000/$300,000 bodily injury liability
