Job summary

LSI Foster Care & Adoption is seeking a full-time Licensing Caseworker to serve Sioux City area counties, including Woodbury, Plymouth, Cherokee, and O'Brien. You will assist prospective foster, adoptive, and kinship families through licensing and home study processes, traveling across the service area with mileage reimbursement.

The role requires familiarity with state licensing rules, flexibility in scheduling, and potential evening/weekend hours to support families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work or related field and at least 1 year of experience in child welfare.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
• Must be organized with strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support prospective families through pre-service training, home studies, and home study packet submission.
• Complete home studies for resource families within project timelines.
• Familiarize with licensing and adoption rules and comply with required regulations.
• Occasional evenings/weekends may be required to meet family needs.
