Job summary

Youth Service Bureau of Illinois Valley is hiring a Foster Care Caseworker to support children in placement, ensure safety, and advance permanency goals. You will collaborate with families, foster caregivers, and partners to implement service plans and monitor progress.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in human services and at least two years of relevant experience, plus proficiency with MS Office. Duties include court hearings, documentation, and multidisciplinary teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human services or related field required.
• Minimum of two years of relevant human services experience.
• Successful completion of required licensing exams during employment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access) and general computer skills.
• Strong cultural awareness and ability to work with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Direct Services - Child in Placement: maintain contact and assess needs within service plans.
• Family Engagement - Biological/Natural Family: coordinate and monitor progress toward reunification.
• Foster/Placement Family Support: build relationships with caregivers and monitor placement stability.
• Documentation & Collaboration: maintain case docs, prepare reports, and participate in team meetings.
