Job summary

Samaritas is seeking a Foster Care Case Manager to support children and families within the foster care system in Genesee County and SE Michigan. You will manage your own caseload, advocate for stable placements, and collaborate with courts and community partners to ensure safety and well-being.

Applicants should have a Bachelor's in Social Work or related field; Michigan licensure is preferred, with 1+ year in child welfare recommended.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field required.
• State licensure preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in child welfare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of foster care cases, providing ongoing support and advocacy.
• Build relationships with children, caregivers and families to support stability and well-being.
• Coordinate initial placements and changes in placement; prepare for and attend court hearings.
• Collaborate with referral sources, courts, agencies and community organizations; maintain stakeholder communication.
• Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with program and regulatory standards.
