Job summary

Samaritas is seeking a dedicated Foster Care Case Manager in Genesee County to support children and families in the foster care system with stability, advocacy, and compassionate guidance.

You will manage your own caseload, coordinate placements and court involvement, maintain accurate documentation, and collaborate with families and community partners to secure safe, supportive outcomes. This is a full-time role requiring strong communication and organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field required.
• State of Michigan licensure preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in child welfare preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing a dynamic caseload.

Responsibilities

• Case Management & Client Support: Manage a caseload of foster care cases, providing ongoing support and advocacy.
• Placement Coordination & Court Involvement: Coordinate placements and attend court hearings with updates and documentation.
• Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate case records, reports, and required documentation.
