Position: Foster Care Case Manager - $3000 Sign-On Bonus

Position Overview: Case management position responsible for managing foster care cases. Requires engagement with diverse families, strong communication skills, a valid driver's license, passing all background checks, and maintaining professional relationships with service providers, court personnel, and DCFS staff.

Work Environment: Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and be available during evenings, nights, and some Saturdays, including in high-risk neighborhoods. Knowledge of computer skills and willingness to be on call are essential.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's Degree required
• Human Services Field or related preferred

Certifications

• CWEL, CANS, CERAP, Placement Specialty preferred
• Employees without CWEL will need to complete training and pass tests within 60 days of hire

Other Requirements

• Good driving record and willingness to travel (70% of the time)
• Pass DCFS required tests to become a Licensed Child Welfare Specialist within 60 days
• Become Solution-Based Casework certified within 9 months of hire

Job Duties

• Serve as a conduit of information among all case parties and stakeholders
• Conduct visits with children, parents, and caregivers to assess safety, permanency, and well-being
• Develop and implement family-specific plans
• Facilitate placement and services in collaboration with families
• Perform case management in compliance with laws, policies, and procedures within required timeframes
• Attend court hearings and prepare necessary documents
