Responsibilities

• Maintain a caseload of 8-12 therapeutic foster children annually.
• Assist program foster homes when colleagues are absent.
• Conduct routine home visits to ensure requirements are met.
• Assess home environment and provide home studies with supervisor.
• Coordinate applications, interviewing, and contracting for new respite foster homes.
• Provide therapeutic training for foster parents and parenting techniques.
• Serve as primary contact for assigned foster parents 24/7; respond to emergencies.
• Assist with Foster Parent recruitment in the community.

Raintree is currently accepting applications for a Foster Care Case Manager. This is a salaried full-time position working mainly 9 am- 5 pm, Monday through Friday. However, some assignments will require working after hours, weekends, and having on-call availability.

The ideal candidate MUST have the following:

• A bachelor’s degree in social work or a human service-related field is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of post-graduate work experience as a case manager, with the ability to function in a high-stress, intense, or crisis-prone environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to prioritize and organize work, take initiative, and effectively solve problems
• Teamwork-oriented; willing to work with others to meet deadlines
• Professionalism, ethics, and excellent people skills
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle with insurance for use during working hours and as needed for home visits.
• Three references from most recent employers, educators, etc.

Responsibilities include:

• Maintains a caseload of 8-12 therapeutic foster children annually (dependent on level of care required) while creating service plans and helping participants achieve their goals.
• Assists program foster homes as needed when colleagues are absent.
• Conducts routine home visits to ensure that all requirements are met for participants and their foster families
• Assesses home environment and provides home studies for foster homes along with the program supervisor.
• Coordinates applications, interviewing, and the contracting process for new respite foster care homes as needed.
• Provides therapeutic training for foster parents and teaches basic parenting techniques.
• Functions as the primary contact for assigned foster parents 24/7. Must be available for emergencies.
• Assists with Foster Parent recruitment in the community (e.g., informational meetings, fairs, community events).
• Will also assist with foster parent files.
