Wellspring Lutheran Services in Lansing, MI is seeking a Foster Care Case Aide to support children and families across Ingham, Eaton, and Jackson Counties. This part-time role centers on coordinating visits, transporting families, and documenting progress to help case plans succeed.

You will work with a diverse team to promote safety, stability, and positive outcomes, while developing professional skills and contributing to the community.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience working with children and families is helpful but not required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and proof of insurance.

What Your Impact Will Look Like

• You’ll help children and families stay connected by coordinating and supporting parenting time visits and other important family interactions.
• You’ll create an environment where children feel safe, supported, and valued during family visits and activities.
• You’ll encourage positive interactions and help families build on their strengths through coaching, support, and consistent encouragement.
• You’ll transport children and families to appointments, visits, and other activities that are important to their case plans and goals.
• You’ll observe, document, and communicate important information that helps the foster care team provide effective support and services.
• You’ll work directly with children and families from diverse backgrounds, helping create positive experiences that contribute to long‑term success.
• Some days you’ll be helping a child get to a visit with their parent.
• Other days you’ll be supervising family interactions, assisting with community activities, supporting case managers, or helping ensure children and families receive the services they need.
• Every day brings an opportunity to make a positive difference.
