Brightpoint in Belleville, IL is seeking a Foster Care Case Aide to support regional child welfare efforts. You will transport participants to appointments, assist specialists, and help families toward reunification within a collaborative, data-informed framework.

The Foster Care Case Aide is a critical member of the region’s child welfare team, working collaboratively within and across programs to ensure a relentless focus on keeping children safe and supporting families, consistent with our agency's Blueprint for Impact, which includes replacing what we currently think of as child welfare services with what we know to be child, family, and community well-being solutions. The Case Aide provides supportive services to the specialists in order to accomplish established goals for program participants and provide supervision to families involved in the child welfare system who are working towards reunification. The Case Aide will provide transportation for program participants to various appointments such as counseling, medical and home visits, provide supervision and assess the interactions between children and other parties involved in visits, model/teach appropriate parenting skills and the use of non-physical discipline with family members, and complete comprehensive case notes documenting any interactions with children and program participants.

What You'll Do:

• Provide transportation to program participants for various appointments such as family time visits, counseling, medical and home visits.
• Make regular reports to Specialists on all cases. Provide written documentation to the Specialist or Supervisor on all contacts with program participants and collateral agencies, and complete required paperwork.
• Provide supervision and assess interactions between the child and other parties involved in family time visits. Model/teach appropriate parenting skills and the use of non-physical discipline with family members.

Job details:

• Compensation:Hourly: Range is between $17.20-$19.00/hour, offers are commensurate with experience. B ilingual candidates may receive additional financial compensation.The salary range provided represents our current estimate for this role at the time of posting and is subject to change. The final salary will be determined based on a range of factors, including but not limited to, a candidate's relevant experience, education, qualifications, skills, certifications, and alignment with organizational needs.
