QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in a Social Work or a related field required plus at least one year of experience working directly with children and families in a child related field; must have excellent written and verbal communication skills; must have excellent interpersonal skills; and must have the ability to work with persons from various ethnic backgrounds, with particular emphasis in working with families of African American heritage.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Recruit, analyze and assess perspective foster parents
  • Certify and recertify kinship and foster parents for general and SBH
  • Assist with tracking and training of perspective foster parents
  • Attend recruitment events
  • Work collaboratively with agency staff
  • Provide a full range of emergency/temporary foster care service to foster parents
  • (which include on-call rotation, crisis intervention services, assessment, placement,
  • monitoring and transporting)
  • Ensure perspective foster parents stay in compliance according to DPW
  • regulations.
  • Work on-call hours as directed
  • Interface with all service providers for the purpose of service delivery and goal
  • planning meetings;
  • Adhere to all other program and agency policies and procedures governing the
  • objective of the agency and program.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License
  • Registered and insured vehicle
  • Certificate of Insurance for vehicle
  • Valid PA Inspection (even if vehicle is registered in another state)
  • Valid/Clean Motor Vehicle Record
  • Current Act 33, Police Clearance and FBI Clearance
  • City/County travel
  • Available to work flexible schedule

Reports directly to Recruitment Director
