Harrington Starr partners with a leading fintech data firm to hire a hands-on Forward Deployed Engineering Lead in New York. This player-coach role blends technical delivery, team leadership and commercial ownership with significant client interaction.

You will shape delivery standards, mentor engineers, and grow a newly established engineering function at the intersection of finance, data and cloud technologies, including AI/LLM tooling.

Qualificações

• 7+ years of experience in financial services technology.
• Hands-on C# and/or Python with data platforms and cloud-native tech.
• Experience delivering complex client-facing technology projects.
• Previous technical leadership, mentoring engineers, and client interaction.
• Interest in applying AI/LLMs to improve delivery and outcomes.

They are looking to hire a hands-on Forward Deployed Engineering Lead to lead a client-facing engineering pod, combining technical delivery, team leadership and commercial ownership. This is a true player-coach role, where you will remain close to the technology and client engagements while helping shape delivery standards, processes and the growth of a newly established function.

Key Requirements:

• 7+ years' experience in financial services technology
• Strong hands-on experience with C# and/or Python, data platforms and cloud-native technology
• Strong understanding of the full trade lifecycle across front, middle and back office
• Proven experience delivering complex, client-facing technology projects
• Previous technical leadership experience, including mentoring and developing engineers
• Experience working with asset managers, asset owners or asset servicing organisations is highly desirable
• Strong client relationship management skills with the ability to act as a trusted technical advisor
• Interest in applying AI and LLM tooling to improve engineering delivery and client outcomes
