Tracecat is seeking forward-deployed security engineers to shape the future of security operations with agents you own and control. You will architect agents that automate real security work, work directly with founders and customers, and turn field learnings into product capabilities for mission-critical environments.

This high-ownership role sits at an AI-native open-core company, partnering with security teams across cloud, identity, and infrastructure to deploy agentic systems and reusable

Qualifications

• Security judgment: you understand how teams investigate, prioritize, and respond to risk across cloud, infrastructure, identity, and production environments.
• Hands-on security engineering experience across security domains and production environments.
• Strong software development and API/integration experience to build agentic capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy agentic systems across security stacks for customers.
• Build agents that investigate alerts, gather evidence, reason over context, and trigger actions.
• Create Python integrations, agent skills, MCP tools, and data pipelines for context and tooling.
• Design agents for detection/response, cloud findings, identity investigations, and vulnerability response.
• Evaluate agents for accuracy, approvals, auditability, and analyst experience.
• Collaborate with founders and product team to turn patterns into reusable agents.
