R1 RCM Inc. is seeking Forward Deployed Process Engineers to bridge executive strategy with on-the-ground execution in healthcare revenue cycle management. You will quantify ROI, design delivery processes, and lead teams across client engagements, with a focus on AI-enabled improvements and KPI-driven outcomes.

The role requires 10+ years in RCM, 5+ years in management, strong PM and analytics, and travel up to 50%. Base pay ranges from $175,000 to $306,101.78 per year with a 25% target bonus.

Responsibilities

• Quantify ROI of use cases by identifying business objectives and ROI.
• Design and optimize delivery processes with internal teams for consistent execution of use cases.
• Leads and mentors Solution Consultants to align team with client goals and metrics.
• Collaborate to create product roadmap, future state processes, and implementation plan.
• Develop training and change management plans to drive adoption of best practices.
• Provide technical product and operational leadership through the solution lifecycle.
• Evaluate emerging opportunities and assess future use case business cases.
• Engage with customers using data-driven insights for decision making.
• Ensure proactive issue resolution and continuous improvement in service delivery.
• Monitor KPIs and SLAs to deliver measurable value in steady-state operations.

The Forward Deployed Process Engineers will play a critical role in bridging executive-level strategy with operational execution. These positions require a deep understanding of healthcare metrics, process optimization, and best practice workflows. The ideal candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively with executives and production staff alike, serving as a change champion in challenging scenarios.

Here’s what you will experience working as a Process Consultant Engineer Lead:

• Provide use case business case quantification by identifying the customer’s business objectives and quantifying the benefits and ROI of use case implementation.
• Designs and optimizes consulting delivery processes in coordination with internal teams to ensure seamless and consistent execution of use cases in support of customer objectives.
• Leads and mentors Solution Consultants while ensuring alignment of team efforts with client goals and operating metrics.
• Collaborate with Solution Consultants to create product roadmap, future state process flows, and implementation plan.
• Supports the development of training and change management plans to drive the adoption of best practices
• Provides technical product and operational leadership throughout the solution lifecycle.
• Evaluates emerging operational and technical opportunities and assesses and recommends future use case business cases
• Proactively engages with customers and supports decision-making with data-driven insights.
• Ensures proactive issue resolution and continuous improvement in service delivery.
• Supports the Solution Consultants with the development of sustainable mechanisms to monitor KPIs and SLAs that provide measurable value creation and performance tracking for steady state operations.
• Travel up to 50% to engage with clients and stakeholders.

Required Skills:

• Minimum 10 years experience in healthcare revenue cycle management including HB and PB Follow Up, Denials and Coding.
• Minimum 5 years in a management role.
• Significant experiencein project management, process improvement, and implementation support.
• Adept with AI tools and enthusiastic about the conversion of technology and operations.
• Familiarity with healthcare operations or enterprise software environments preferred.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS& CPT/HCPCScoding guidelines and reimbursement methodologies.
• AAPC or AHIMA Certified coding professional: CIC,CPC,CCS, RHIA,RHITpreferred.

For this US-based position, the base pay range is $175,000.00 - $306,101.78 per year . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

This job is eligible to participate in our annual bonus plan at a target of 25.00%
