Asepha is seeking a Forward Deployed Pharmacist to operate real pharmacy workflows and help shape next-generation solutions for clinicians, payers, and patients. Based in New York with a hybrid work model, you will join a small, senior team delivering fast, high-impact work.

You will review AI outputs, ensure clinical accuracy and regulatory compliance, and translate customer feedback into product improvements. This role offers stock options and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 2+ years U.S. pharmacy experience across specialty, retail, or hospital settings.

Responsibilities

• Be part of our internal pharmacy team and product voice, shaping next-generation solutions for clinicians, payers, and patients.
• Review AI outputs, handle exceptions and translate gaps into product changes.
• Safeguard clinical accuracy, regulatory compliance and patient safety, embedding guardrails around USP, REMS, payer policies.
• Partner with engineers and designers to bring new products to life, and with external pharmacy/health-tech orgs.
• Troubleshoot issues customers hit in real workflows and route unresolved items to engineering with context.

Asepha builds advanced AI tools that re‑imagine how medications are prescribed, verified, and supported across the pharmacy ecosystem. Backed by venture capital funding and trusted by multiple Fortune 50 healthcare organizations, we’re scaling rapidly, and looking for a Forward Deployed Pharmacist who can run real pharmacy workflows and grow into a customer‑facing or product role. Your work will have a direct impact on improving pharmacy workflows and health outcomes.

Role and Responsibilities:

• You’ll be part of our internal pharmacy team and product voice, a hands‑on operator helping shape next‑generation solutions for clinicians, payers, and patients
• Reviewing AI outputs, handling exceptions and turning gaps into product changes.
• Safeguarding clinical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and patient safety, embedding guardrails around USP, REMS, payer policies, etc.
• Partnering closely with engineers and designers, along with external pharmacy & health‑tech organizations, to bring new products to life
• Troubleshooting issues customers hit in real workflows, resolving what you can directly and routing the rest to engineering with the context they need to fix it
• Sitting in on and eventually leading client check-ins, translating customer feedback and needs into something the team can act on
• Bringing a clinical eye to internal playbooks and support docs
• Closing the loop between support and product, spotting the recurring questions and friction points that signal product growth
• Become a clinical voice customers trust, the pharmacist on the other end who actually understands their workflow

Qualifications:

• PharmD or Bachelor of Pharmacy
• 2+ years U.S. pharmacy experience across specialty, retail, or hospital settings
• Comfortable doing hands‑on operational work, and documenting where workflows break.
• Detail oriented and highly communicative team player.
• Startup mentality: bias for action, comfort with ambiguity, willingness to iterate quickly. We work in fast cycles, low bureaucracy, your ideas will ship quickly.
• Preference for pharmacists located in New York (hybrid 3 office days per week). Open to remote for the right candidate if they have deep industry expertise and are willing to travel often.

Nice-to-haves:

• Deep familiarity with benefits verification, prior authorizations, medical billing, payer formularies, limited‑distribution meds, and medication assistance pathways.
• Customer‑facing experience, support, account management, or clinical liaison work, ideally for a pharmacy, payer, or health‑tech product
• Familiarity with payer requirements, coverage criteria, and reimbursement pathways across commercial and government plans
• Exposure to eRx and ePA standards (NCPDP SCRIPT, FHIR)
• Experience building professional communities or educational content.

Compensation

The base pay range for this role is $120,000 – $140,000 per year.
