The company is backed by top-tier investors and works with leading US healthcare institutions. This is a hands‑on applied AI role sitting between the AI/ML team and customers, focused on turning messy real‑world data and customer feedback into accurate, reliable production systems.

What they're looking for

• 2+ years in applied ML, AI engineering or forward‑deployed engineering
• Strong Python for pipeline engineering, ETL or orchestration
• Experience building and shipping production LLM, RAG or agentic workflows
• Practical experience with evals, structured extraction, prompts and pipeline iterationComfortable speaking with technical/customer teams
• Startup or applied AI company experience preferred
• Healthcare, clinical NLP, legal AI, financial document AI or other document‑heavy extraction experience is a plus
• Strong technical degree or equivalent engineering depth
• Must be authorised to work in the US without sponsorship
• NYC / SoHo preferred
• Strong preference for in‑office, especially early on
• Open to exceptional remote candidates who can spend meaningful time in NYC
• $170k-$220k base, with flexibility for exceptional candidates
