Job description

Position: Forward Deployed Generalist — Early Career

Length: Permanent

Ideally looking for: Relevant prior experience could include SDR, CSM, operations, RevOps, implementation, or other startup operating experience. Must have strong academic background

The Opportunity

As a Forward Deployed Generalist, you’ll help bring an AI-native revenue platform to life inside a customer’s revenue organization — taking them from initial deployment to a team that relies on the platform every day.

Many customers need more than software alone. They need a hands‑on partner who can understand how their revenue team operates, translate that into the right system configuration, and get them fully live as quickly as possible. You’ll sit at the intersection of the product, the customer’s go‑to‑market motion, and the people using the platform day to day.

You’ll own deployments from start to finish, with one core metric: time to value.

This is a fast‑moving, high‑ownership role designed for someone with a steep learning curve and a desire to take on responsibility quickly. You’ll work closely with customers, dig into how their revenue organizations actually operate, identify process gaps, and turn messy requirements into clear, repeatable deployments that drive adoption.

The role is based in San Francisco, with regular travel to customer sites for onsite deployment sprints.

The company is building a strong in‑person culture and is still very much in build mode. The team works from the San Francisco office five days per week, which is an important part of how the company operates and scales.

Who You Are
  • High‑Slope
  • Your trajectory matters more than how much you already know. You learn quickly, absorb feedback, and consistently take on more responsibility as you develop.
  • Customer‑Focused
  • You care about whether the customer actually succeeds, not simply whether the implementation checklist is complete. You enjoy working where technology meets business process and can turn unclear requirements into practical solutions.
  • Prescriptive
  • You’re comfortable forming a point of view. Rather than simply doing what a customer asks, you can understand their goals, recommend the right approach, and guide them toward best practices.
  • Technically Curious
  • You’re comfortable working with spreadsheets and data today and excited to become more technical over time. SQL, APIs, integrations, and light scripting are skills you’re interested in learning rather than avoiding.
  • A Builder
  • You naturally look for ways to improve processes, eliminate inefficiencies, and turn one‑off work into repeatable systems.
What You’ll Do
  • Own Customer Deployments End to End
  • Take customers from signed contract through full implementation and adoption. Your responsibility is making sure their revenue team is successfully operating on the platform — not simply completing a predefined list of tasks.
  • Configure the Platform Around How Customers Sell
  • Understand each customer’s business model, sales motion, processes, and constraints before designing their setup.
  • You’ll configure areas such as pipelines, stages, fields, workflows, and reporting based on how the customer actually operates. The goal is to recommend the right setup rather than simply replicate whatever process existed before.
  • Handle the Technical Glue
  • Help connect the systems surrounding the platform, including lead forms, webhooks, data syncs, and lightweight integrations.
  • For projects requiring production‑level engineering, you’ll partner with technical counterparts — scoping the problem, helping define the solution, and learning from the implementation.
  • Own Data Migration
  • Map, import, validate, and QA customer data so that users can trust the system from day one.
  • Drive Adoption
  • Help customers move beyond implementation into actual usage. You’ll train users, troubleshoot adoption issues, answer questions, and remove the small operational blockers that prevent teams from fully embracing the platform.
  • Improve the Deployment Playbook
  • Every implementation should make the next one better. You’ll document what works, identify repeatable patterns, and help turn successful deployments into scalable internal playbooks.
What You Bring
  • New graduate or approximately 0–3 years of professional experience
  • Open to any academic background — learning velocity and trajectory matter more than a specific major
  • Comfortable working with data and spreadsheets
  • Strong interest in developing technical skills such as SQL, APIs, integrations, and light scripting
  • Consultative instincts and the ability to understand a customer problem before recommending a solution
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with customers
  • High attention to detail, particularly when working with data and operational processes
  • Willingness to work onsite in San Francisco five days per week
  • Willingness to travel regularly to customer locations
  • Bonus experience with CRM, RevOps, sales technology, data migration, or building lightweight scripts and integrations
