Job summary

Dex is partnering with a leading insurance-focused AI innovator in San Francisco to deploy end-to-end AI solutions for major carriers. You will own deployments from scoping to go-live, building multi-modal agentic systems and integrating them with client APIs and environments.

You will serve as the primary technical contact for senior stakeholders, translating complex AI capabilities into tangible business results while shipping production-grade code in Python and collaborating with client tech

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a forward-deployed, agent engineering, or founding role.
• Ability to build and ship production-grade Python code with APIs and cloud tooling.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and agentic AI concepts.
• Ability to translate complex AI solutions into executive business outcomes.
• Founder mindset: own problems end-to-end with urgency, coding and client management.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end AI deployments for major insurance carriers, from initial scoping to successful go-live.
• Design, build, and evolve multi-modal agentic AI systems, leveraging prompt engineering and model integration.

This isn't just a client-facing role, nor is it purely an engineering one. You'll be the trusted technical partner embedded within client carriers, owning deployments end-to-end from scoping to go-live. Expect to be the primary contact for senior stakeholders while also hands-on building and shipping multi-modal agentic AI systems and integrations. This seat is for founders and operators who want both the strategic client relationships and the deep technical execution.

The work
