Job summary

Dex, in partnership with leading insurance carriers, seeks a hands-on technologist to own end-to-end AI deployments from scoping to go-live. You will design and ship multi-modal agentic AI systems and act as the primary technical partner for senior stakeholders.

Ideally you have 2+ years in forward-deployed or founding roles, strong Python/API skills, and experience translating complex AI capabilities into business outcomes. You will balance coding with client relationship management.

This isn't just a client-facing role, nor is it purely an engineering one. You'll be the trusted technical partner embedded within client carriers, owning deployments end-to-end from scoping to go-live. Expect to be the primary contact for senior stakeholders while also hands-on building and shipping multi-modal agentic AI systems and integrations. This seat is for founders and operators who want both the strategic client relationships and the deep technical execution.

The work

What You Bring

• 2+ years in a forward-deployed, agent engineering, or founding role, combining deep technical execution with client ownership.

• Hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and agentic AI concepts, leveraging AI-assisted development workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical solutions into clear business outcomes for executive audiences.
• A founder's mindset: you own problems end-to-end, move with urgency, and are comfortable both coding and managing client relationships.
