Job description

We’re working with a fast-growing AI startup that is building the infrastructure used by 200+ consumer brands to manage complex financial and operational workflows.

They’ve grown 5x year-on-year, recently raised a $15m Series A and are now looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to join their small NYC team.

This is a genuinely hands-on engineering role. You’ll work directly with enterprise customers, understand how their businesses operate and turn messy, real-world problems into production software.

You’ll be working on things like:

• AI-powered document ingestion
• Customer integrations and data pipelines
• Financial analytics and forecasting systems
• Internal tooling and customer-facing product features
• Identifying gaps in the platform and building the solution

The ideal person will have:

• 2+ years of software engineering experience
• A strong backend, data or AI/ML background
• Experience building integrations or production data pipelines
• The confidence to work directly with customers
• Strong product instincts and comfort operating with ambiguity
• An interest in early-stage startups and taking real ownership

Their stack includes Python, Rails, TypeScript, React, Vue, Postgres, Snowflake, AWS and foundation models via the Claude SDK.

You don’t need experience across the entire stack. They’re more interested in strong engineers who can learn quickly, communicate clearly and work problems out without needing a 47-page requirements document.

This is an onsite role in New York City, with relocation support available.
