Job summary

Lights On Software is seeking an engineer who ships production AI and tells the story of how they did it. You will embed with AI company clients, build real systems for their enterprise customers, and create content that shows FDE work in practice.

You will use AI-first development workflows and prototype fast with modern AI coding techniques, delivering demos in days rather than weeks and teaching the market through tutorials and technical storytelling.

Qualifications

• 5+ years shipping software in production environments.
• Proficient in Python and/or TypeScript with AI/ML across cloud platforms.
• Exceptional communication; able to present to executives and engineers.

Overview

Lights On Software is looking for an engineer who ships production AI and tells the story of how they did it. You'll embed with our AI company clients, build real systems for their enterprise customers, and create content (LinkedIn, video, tutorials) that shows the world what FDE work looks like in practice. You use AI-first development workflows (Cursor, Claude, Copilot) as a force multiplier, and you're comfortable prototyping fast using modern AI coding techniques.

What You'll Do

• Embed with AI companies' customers: scope problems, prototype solutions, ship production systems.
• Create compelling content about FDE work: LinkedIn posts, video walkthroughs, technical tutorials.
• Use AI-first development workflows to move faster: prototype with modern AI coding tools, ship working demos in days not weeks.
• Educate the market on how FDE deployments work through tutorials, demos, and technical storytelling.
• Act as the bridge between technical and business audiences, presenting to engineers and executives alike.
• Own outcomes end-to-end: from scoping through production deployment, with no hand-offs.
• Stay current with AI development tools and techniques to continuously improve delivery speed.

What You Bring

• 5+ years shipping software in production environments. You've been the engineer a company sends to their most important customer.
• Strong Python and/or TypeScript skills, with experience across AI/ML frameworks and cloud platforms.
• Comfort with ambiguity. You can take "we need AI" and turn it into a scoped, shippable plan.
• Exceptional communication skills. You can explain a technical architecture to a C-suite and debug a production outage at 2 AM.
• Self-managed and autonomous. You don't wait for direction. You find the highest-leverage problem and solve it.
• Experience with AI-first development tools (Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) is a strong plus.
• Required Submissions:
  • LinkedIn Content: Examples of professional posts or articles you've published that demonstrate your ability to engage a technical audience.
  • Writing Sample: A blog post or technical article showing you can communicate complex ideas clearly.
  • Video Content: Links to tutorials, demos, or explainer videos you've created.
