Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Forward Deployed GenAI Engineer to partner directly with business stakeholders and build AI-powered solutions that solve real business problems. The role involves understanding business requirements, designing and implementing Skills, plugins, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) solutions, and driving adoption across teams.

The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering fundamentals with hands-on experience in Generative AI technologies and AI-assisted development tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with business teams to understand their challenges and identify opportunities for AI-driven solutions.
• Design, develop, and deploy Skills, plugins, and MCP-based solutions to improve business productivity and efficiency.
• Build end-to-end solutions from requirement gathering through implementation and user adoption.
• Develop integrations and workflows leveraging modern LLM ecosystems.
• Work directly with stakeholders to demonstrate value, gather feedback, and iterate on solutions.
• Promote best practices in AI-assisted software development and rapid prototyping.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in Python and shell scripting.
• Hands-on experience building Skills, plugins, MCP servers, tools, and integrations.
• Experience working within the Generative AI ecosystem, including LLM-based application development.
• Practical experience with AI-assisted development tools such as:
• Codex
• Familiarity with modern development frameworks and APIs used in AI applications.

Business & Communication Skills

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work directly with business users to understand requirements and translate them into technology solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to independently drive solution development.

Preferred Technology Exposure

Experience with one or more of the following is desirable:

Experience

• 5 to 7 years of overall experience

This version keeps the focus on GenAI, Skills, MCP, Copilot, Claude, and business-facing engineering, while deliberately avoiding extensive CI/CD, containerization, observability, and other production-engineering language that could result in vendors submitting predominantly DevOps profiles.

Pay:

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Fractal, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $130,000 - $160,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus for the current performance period.

As a full-time employee of the company or as an hourly employee working more than 30 hours per week, you will be eligible to participate in the health, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability plans in accordance with the plan documents, which may be amended from time to time. You will be eligible for benefits on the first day of employment with the Company. In addition, you are eligible to participate in the Company 401(k) Plan after 30 days of employment, in accordance with the applicable plan terms. The Company provides for 11 paid holidays and 12 weeks of Parental Leave. We also follow a “free time” PTO policy, allowing you the flexibility to take time needed for either sick time or vacation.
